Rich estates like Milimani charge over Ksh 30,000 per month for a one bedroom house. The estate is only for the rich and upper middle class.
Since most people would prefer houses for common mwananchi,I won’t advise you to look for a house in Milimani.

If you have a budget of Ksh 10,000 to Ksh 20, 000, you will get a decent apartment to rent. When occupying a house, you are required to pay two months’ rent, deposit for water and electricity.
One thing you’ll love about Nakuru is that transport is cheap compared to Nairobi. Even during rush hours, they don’t increase fare.
Nakuru is also clean with fresh air—it’s one of the cleanest cities in East Africa.
