Early life
Diamond is a devout Muslim and he developed an interest in music at an early stage but his mother insisted that he completes his studies before venturing into the music career. His early life was not that pleasant because his parents did not have a stable source of income. He had to live with his grandma for some time in a three bedroom house but they had to rent out the other two rooms for income.
Music career
Diamond platnumz has infused different genres of music such as hip-hop, reggae, RNB, Afro beat, dance hall and African traditions. All these made him climb the ladder and even be ranked as one of the best winning live performers in the industry. He released his debut album in the year 2010. This was also the same year he released his career cracker single, Kamwambie. After the motivation and support he released Lala Salama, however four years into the music industry, he left the 2014 Tanzanian Music awards with an insane winning in the history of awards.
Diamond was named the best male writer, best male artist and he received many more awards that night. He released another hit yet in 2016. He also did a collabo with P-square and Lionel Richie during this time. This award winning singer has also worked with Davido which made them gain more following as the song was appreciated by two different cultures.
Diamond is an internationally known artist, who has worked with Ne-Yo on a mash single, Marry you. The song has millions of views on Youtube, the video and choreography was fantastic. It allowed both Ne-Yo and diamond to showcase their dancing prowess.
He has also worked with the versatile rapper AKA, the South African award winning rapper in the song, make me sing, which received 10 million views on Youtube. He has also worked with the likes of Waje, Bracket, Tiwa Savage, Morgan Heritage, Patoranking and Rick Ross.
He is the First African artist to be signed under Universal Music group who has made an album of 6x platinum sales. Diamond reached this milestone on his single Marry you. He released another hit in 2020 featuring Zuchu which received so many positive views.

Diamond had the highest record in 2010 when he received four awards in a single year at the 2010 Tanzania Music Awards. His record was moved by almost a few new artists but this did not stop him from reclaiming his throne. He won three out of four nominations at the 2014 Channel O Music awards and he also won two out of three nominations at MTV Europe music awards. He has been winning many awards ever since.
Relationships
Diamond has previously been in a relationship with Wema Sepetu, Zari Hassan, Hamisa Mobetto and Tasha Donna. He has also been involved with a certain Sarah, Jacqueline Wolpe, Aunt Ezekiel, Jokate Mwengelo, Penny Mungilwa and Dillish Matthews. Diamond’s relationship with Wema sepetu is allegedly the longest relationship he has ever been into. He and the famous actress started off as friends and later developed into an erratic relationship. The two split up because Diamond was having an affair with Jokate Mwengelo who was Wema’s closest friend.
He later Reconciled with her and introduced her to his mother within months of getting back together, but It did not take long for him to dump her for good in 2014. Their relationship is believed to have lasted for five years.
He later moved to Zari Hassan who is a Ugandan Socialite. Diamond introduced her to his mother as the girl he wanted to marry as he did with Wema. The two stayed together and Zari conceived for the singer. The news and pictures were posted all over, in all their social media pages. Zari was already a mother of three from her previous relationship and was expecting her fourth child with Diamond. They broke up due to diamonds cheating habit. He had cheated with Hamisa Mabetto. Zari went online and said that she was tired of his cheating habit and was ready to end the relationship. That is how they ended the marriage.
His second baby mama was Hamisa Mobetto who allegedly had three miscarriages before giving birth to her son. Their relationship ended sooner than everyone thought. They broke up after the speculations that Hamisa took Diamond to a witch doctor in order for him to take her to the altar and wife her. She had waited a long time for diamond to pose the question but he never did.
It is presumed that the most popular relationship Diamond has ever had was with the Kenyan Radio presenter and Model, Tanasha Donna. The two started dating after a year, the relationship barely lasted over a year. The couple made their first debut at Jomo Kenyatta Airport.
She was also introduced to his mother, many people were eager to know if she would be able to break the cycle. They planned a wedding which was supposed to take place on the 14th of February. It was later postponed to March 2019, citing irreconcilable differences, the two went their separate ways after she had a son for him named Naseeb Jr.
