The owner of this building in Kasarani spent a whopping Ksh 100 million to construct it.But one mistake he made is that he used cheap materials.Immediately,the building was complete, it developed huge cracks, forcing it to start shaking. If you touch it from outside, it starts shaking vigorously.
The National Construction Authority, Nairobi County and National Government officials visited the site to monitor the situation. But they are the ones who gave the owner okay to continue constructing the building even when it was clear the materials were substandard.
The good thing is that people had not occupied it but first tenants were scheduled to occupy as from 1st September 2023.
