Safaricom Mshwari 52 week saving challenge helps you to get disciplined when it comes to saving. A good number of people in Kenya lack discipline but when they are challenged by Mshwari, they end up developing the routine of saving. Even without Mshwari, they are capable of saving on their own.The challenge allows you to save as little as Ksh 50 and by the end of the year, your savings will be Ksh 68,900.The savings grow weekly by Ksh50.By the time you hit week 52,your weekly saving will be Ksh 2,600.all these savings will yield an interest of Ksh 6%.

Alternative saving solutions:
If you can’t save with Mshwari, opt for Fixed Deposit account or Money market Fund. They generate interest of 6% to 15% per year. I particularly prefer Money Market Fund because its interest is higher.
If you get Ksh 70,000 by the end of the year, you can start a profitable business like grocery which yields more than Ksh 1,000 daily.Alternatively, buy a second hand boda boda and employ someone to operate it.
