A couple of years ago I didn’t know anything about TCL TV until last year when my Sony TV fell and to damaged completely. It was a terrible experience because I had purchased the TV with a lot of money. The quality of pictures was excellent and I had treated the TV as my child. But life had to continue.
As I as figuring out about the next step, my neighbor visited me and realized I didn’t have a TV, she advised me to try TCL because she is using it. She convinced to buy one.
The following day I went with her to a shop in Luthuli Avenue. I had Ksh 22,000 in my Mpesa.
We arrived at a shop owned by Somali people. There were several brands of TVs . Sony, Samsung, Hisence and other TVs were available. I realized 32 inch Sony TV costed Ksh 26,000 while TCL costed Ksh 19,000. I bargained and paid Ksh 17,500. That was in the year 2021.
I have been using the TV for 3 years now and one thing I observed is that the picture quality is almost the same as that of Sony. My experience has been amazing. I don’t see any major difference between TCL and Sony, in fact I am happy I saved Ksh 9,000 by buying TCL. I plan to upgrade and buy 43-inch TV.
If you are planning to buy Sony TV and you don’t have enough money to buy one, I will encourage you to go for TCL TV because there is no major difference between the two.
TCL are sold by TCL Shops, Jumia, Kilimall, at Luthuli Avenue and in supermarkets. You can also buy from trusted shops in Nairobi.
