Worked KTN as a part time news anchor in 1995 as well as a Reuters correspondent in Nairobi
Between 1991 and 2000, he worked for ABC and for NBC in 1994. In 1998, he was appointed Reuters West Africa Bureau chief. He moved to Ivory Coast and later to Johannesburg. He then joined CNN in 2001.He left CNN in May 2007.
He joined K25 in 2008 .He later joined KTN until 2017 when he joined Royal Media Services.
Jeff Koinange now works at Hot 96 and Citizen TV as a News Anchor. He is among the highest paid News Anchors in Kenya.
