Select channel which costs Ksh1500 per month. It has 149 channels and it comes with Movies, series, news, children’s channels, WWE, Serie A, and selected Premier League and Champions League matches
Another one is Sports channel which costs Ksh 3,000 and it has mostly sports channels and local content. Major football leagues (Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, Conference League), UFC, WWE, movies, series will be available. This will be the most popular package under DSTV because most Kenyans subscribe for DSTV to watch EPL and Champions League matches.
The most expensive channel will be Ultimate channel which costs Ksh 7,500 per month. It comes with at least 180 channels. Broader sports coverage including Formula 1, rugby, tennis, MotoGP, golf, M-Net, and Discovery. This is the top tier channel which very few will afford in Kenya.
The main reason DSTV subscriber numbers have been going down is because of price. The package that contains Sports events like EPL costs Ksh4,200 to Ksh7500 which is extremely expensive. There is also free streaming of matches online. By reducing to Ksh3,000,it’s easy to attract more subscribers.
