Bonfire Adventures to be sold

Bonfire Adventures owners Sarah Mtalii and Simon Kabu have announced that they are selling the company. They arrived at the decision after their divorce was finalised. Employees at the organisation say that Sarah has not paid them salaries for months. The company is not doing as well as it used to perform. Sarah accuses the ex-husband of starting a new company and diverting Bonfire Adventures customers to that company.

Kabu accepted to be divorced by Sarah in 2024. Sarah didn’t want the ex-husband to incorporate his daughter into their business. Kabu decided to side with the daughter and leave Sarah for good.

Bonfire Adventure was started in 2007 by Sarah and Simon. Their seed capital was Ksh10,000. It has since grown to become one of the biggest tour companies in Kenya. Bonfire is valued at Ksh1.8 billion.

The two have decided to part ways permanently. They cannot run the company jointly.
