Samuel Okello – Ag. General Manager & Head Finance and Administration
Sam is responsible for the overall management of the business, including strategy, budgeting, financial reporting, managing the financial risks and directing financial actvites of the business.
His role involves liaison with the board in determining the strategic direction of the business, making key decisions in respect of long-term assets strategies, and the general management of liquid assets to meet the requirements of the business and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Sam is experienced in investment management, stock broking and commercial banking, having worked in the financial industry in the last 30 years. Sam worked in various senior capacities at Standard Chartered Bank and ABC Bank before moving to ABC Capital Sam is currently finalizing his thesis work for Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at Kenyatta University, Nairobi. He possesses Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Accounting Option degree from the University of Nairobi and is a member of the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA). Sam is also a Certified Credit Professional.
Johnson Nderi – Manager, Corporate Finance And Advisory, ABC Capital Ltd
Johnson has a wealth of Capital markets experience having previously been the Head of Research and Head of Corporate Finance at Suntra Investment Bank.
Johnson has advised many transactions ranging from bonds to shares both in the public and private space. He has participated in a number of private and public issues such as IPOs, Public Issues of unlisted companies, Private Placements and Over The Counter (OTC) transactions.
Johnson is also a media commentator on investments, financial and economic issues. He has regularly featured in various local and foreign TV stations including NTV, CCTV, and CNBC. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Egerton University. He also has concluded Part I&II of the Investment and Securities Analyst program as well as ACCA part I.
Raymond Kipchumba – Ag Head of Research and Analysis
Raymond heads the research desk for ABC Capital. He also assists in corporate finance desk especially in the Mergers and Acquisitions transactions as well as in documentation during structuring and in deal analysis.
He has been instrumental in acquiring buy-side mandates that have allowed the firm to compliment its sell-side business. Raymond has 6 years’ experience in investment research and portfolio management. His areas of expertise are economic and fixed income analysis, equity, corporate finance in Private Equity and other alternative assets.
His sectorial areas of focus include the financial sector, telecommunications, insurance, health care and pharmaceuticals. He has a Bachelor of Business Science degree from Strathmore University. He has passed CPA Section 5 and also acquired the CISI qualification. He has also attended trainings on Project Finance and Corporate Finance modeling which are inline with FAST modeling standards.

Mr. Shamaz Savani – Chairman
Mr. Shamaz Savani has about 25 years of experience in the financial services sector. He holds a B.Com in Finance and a B.A in Economics, both from McMaster University, Canada and an MBA from the University of Surrey in UK. He joined ABC Bank in 1997 and was appointed in 2006 as the Chief Executive Officer before rising to the rank of Group Managing Director of ABC Bank Group Companies.
He is responsible for strategy formulation, policy-making including expansion, innovation, and growth for ABC Bank Group which comprises of ABC Bank, ABC Capital Limited, ABC Insurance Brokers Limited and ABC Capital Bank Limited (Uganda).
He has spearheaded the growth of ABC Capital to a formidable, credible and leading player in the stock brokerage space in Kenya, receiving several awards and recognition in different categories under his leadership.
Dr. Steve O. Mainda – Non-Executive Director
Mr. Mainda was appointed as a board member of ABC Capital in August 2011.
He is also the current Chairman of the Board of the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), Housing Finance and a director at Leisure Lodge Hotel & Resorts, Diani and Ryce EA Group. In addition, he has been a director of PTA Bank, Eastern and Southen Africa Trade and Development Bank, a Deputy Managing Director of National Housing Corporation and the MD of National Construction Corporation.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of London and holds a Masters Degree, B.A. Degree and a Masters Degree in Management from the prestigious Princeton University and a BA from SM College, Poona. He has vast experience in financial, insurance, education and investment fields.
Mr. Sridhar Natarajan– Non-Executive Director
Mr. Sridhar Natarajan joined ABC Bank Group in 2014 as the Group CEO to carry on the execution of the Group’s Strategic Plan, and to lead it to the next level in terms of products/ services, portfolio growth, profits, profile, processes and people efficiency.
Mr. Sridhar Natarajan has extensive experience in banking and financial services, having worked with leading banks in India, Hong Kong and Indonesia. For over 30 years he has worked for the State Bank of India both in Hong Kong and India, in various capacities including as Branch Manager, Divisional Manager of Market Segment; Assistant General Manager (Currency Operations) & Chief Manager (Funds); Vice President (Credit & Operations) & Vice President (Operations)/ Alternative CEO, among other key positions which have equipped him with extensive experience. He was also the President Director (CEO) of Bank ICB Bumiputera, a retail bank in Indonesia, and has worked as an independent strategy consultant.
Mr Natarajan holds a BSC and a MSC, Chemistry from the University of Delhi, India.
