George Ruto has purchased a brand new matatu named Mood. This is his fourth Matatu in Nairobi and it’s going to ply Nairobi CBD-Embakasi route. Sources close to him indicate that he purchased the matatu for Ksh 14 million. He is also expected to unveil another Matatu in December this year.
Nairobi to Embakasi is one of the busiest routes in Kenya. The fare price is Ksh 100 only. In a day, this matatu will generate Ksh 15,000 to Ksh25,000 depending on how busy a particular day is. If nothing bad happens, the matatu will recover the ksh14 million within 3 years.
The matatu has a section for DJ where he entertains occupants.The fare will be slightly higher because some seats will be reserved for the DJ
The idea of starting the matatu is to create employment for the youths and also influence them to support his father for 2027. President Ruto has not been in good terms with Gen Z. He would want to use George to bring them back so that they can vote for him in 2027.
