Pool business is one of the worst businesses to start in Kenya. If you are in bad books of police officers, you won’t survive.

The only way to survive is to relate well with the police. You should set aside Ksh 3,000 to bribe them every month. Let them pick the money once a month. You should talk with mkubwa wao so that he can instruct his juniors not to be harassing you.

Another way is to set up a pub or wines & spirits business and incorporate pool business within the business. You will get a joint license for the business.

Pool business is just like any form of gambling, it’s like wines and spirits business,it’s also like matatu business. Even if you follow all the rules, police will look for something to pin you down.To survive, just cooperate with them, usikae kichwa ngumu.
