There are celebrities who came rose to fame, made money but sadly became broke. Their fame didn’t last. Here is a list of Kenyan celebrities who fell from grace to grass within a short time.

Andrew Kibe

Andrew Kibe was a household name in the showbiz. His online content was sought and videos watched by everyone. But his fame didn’t last. Kibe moved to USA after being fired from Kiss FM. He started a YouTube channel. After months of being active on YouTube, he gained massive following. By 2023 he was making over Ksh2 million monthly. He managed to by a brand-new Mercedes Benz worth Ksh12 million.

Late 2023 the worst happened. Kibe’s YouTube channel was banned and he was blocked from posting any content on the platform. Due to lack of money, he returned to Kenya.

At the moment, the content creator is broke.

Khalif Kairo

Khalif Kairo started reviewing cars on social media. He created Imports by Kairo page which gained over 50,000 followers within few months. In 2022 he lost his Facebook page and was thrown out of a company he created with Clement Kinuthia and another director. Kairo started a new company, Kai and Kairo which also grew exponentially.

He purchased Porsche Cayenne car which he used to drive around. During an interview, Kairo declared that he was worth over Ksh1 billion. But his fame and money disappeared into thin air after several clients took him to court for failing to deliver cars they purchased from him. Kairo was taken for remand after failing to raise Ksh2 million bond. His business remains closed.

Nyako

Nyako lives in Germany. She rose to fame in 2023 through TikTok. At one time she claimed that she was making more than $10,000(Ksh13 million) from TikTok. But two years down the line,she is online begging for help. She lost followers and the fame she had. She also has several cases in Germany. She was almost deported back to Kenya.

Nyako is stuck in Germany, she is even unable to pay rent—this is someone who even met Raila Odinga when she visited Kenya.

Desagu

Henry Desagu was famous from 2016 to 2020. He was making over Ksh 800,000 monthly through his Facebook page and YouTube channel. His fame grew to the point he was a celeb. But he indulged in drugs.

Last year, he was taken to a rehab because his health and condition were deteriorating. He is yet to recover.

Desagu’s YouTube channel has over 600k subscribers, but he is unable to make good use of it.

Conjestina Achieng

The story of Conjestina Achieng is well known. She was the best during her prime.She made millions through boxing. But starehe ming plus alcohol destroyed her life.She has been taken to rehab several times but her condition has not improved.

Omosh of Tahidi high

Omosh was also successful in Tahidi High. He earned millions from his acting. But the love for alcohol and women destroyed his life. He ended up marrying two wives but both dumped him when he became broke. Omosh was taken to a rehab and later recovered from alcohol. He is now a preacher but his life is still not good.

Azziad Nasenya

Azziad Nasenya is currently going through fire. She rose through TikTok and later become a Radio presenter. But her latest state is worrying. She has been accused of coning people their money. The latest figure is Ksh400,000 which she conned a friend.
