Those “social media experts” that hang around state house and claim to have brought Facebook Monetization in Kenya are the biggest Scammers ever!
The payment rates are just embarrassing and insulting. You’ll get 10 dollars or even less for 1 million views. For you to reach the minimum withdrawal which is 100 dollars, you need over 10 million views.
Funny enough, if you have a US based audience, you will make much more but we are in Kenya. This monetization should benefit even vernacular content creators so don’t talk about US viewers.
Youtube pays Kenyans 70k per 1 million views on the lower side, 120k per 1 million views on average and 200-500k per 1 million views for high niche.. more if you have US based viewers.
Now compare this to Facebook’s sh 500 to sh 2,000 per 1 million views.. what a Joke!
If you market a poster or link on Facebook even as a small page of 10-30k followers, you can charge the client sh 1,500 to sh 3,000.. so why waste energy chasing monetization peanuts?
Brands pay us 30k to 100k per less than 2 minutes video on Tiktok and IG so why is Facebook offering peanuts in the name of monetization?
Initially I checked my Monetization tab daily but these days I can go 2 weeks before checking because it’s just insulting and I have 100k followers and millions of views so I wonder what smaller creators are getting.
After linking your bank with swift code.. si wangesema tuwapatie mpesa number.
Btw my Amazon Kindle Account that I published 4 books and did no marketing made more money last month than Facebook Monetization where I post daily. Make it make sense.
Anyway, those creators who met the Facebook team.. you did a shitty job. Issa SCAM!
And btw X pays peanuts too.. potato potato
