There are many companies selling iron sheets for roofing in Kenya, the cost vary depending on the company you buy them from. Reviews show that MRM is the best iron sheet company in Kenya, most people buy from them because it offers high quality iron sheets. There are many other iron sheet companies but majority of them are not of good quality. Royal Mabati Factory is one of those that have bad reviews, they don’t treat their customers well.
If you will be buying your iron sheets from MRM,you’ll spend Ksh 180,000 to Ksh250,000 for 2 bedroom house, Ksh 250,000 to Ksh 400,000 for three bedroom house and Ksh 450,000 to Ksh 600,00 for 4 bedroom house. For a 5 bedroom house, you’ll spend at least Ksh 500,000.
Other companies will sell at a cheaper price. You can spend below Ksh 300,000 for 4 bedroom houses but the iron sheets may not be of good quality.
The total cost of fencing two bedroom house is Ksh 300,000 to Ksh 400, 000, three bedroom house will cost Ksh 350,000 to Ksh500,000 while 4 bedroom house will cost at least Ksh 500,000.
Most iron sheet companies allow you to pay in installments. When I bought mine from MRM,I first paid Ksh 200,000 and paid the rest within one month. After completing the payment, I hired a vehicle to transport them to my home.
