Ostrich license in Kenya
For you to keep ostrich in your home, you have to get a license from the Kenya Wildlife Service. The license can cost Ksh 500,000 to Ksh 5 million depending on the number of ostriches to keep.
While applying for the license, KWS officials will visit your farm for inspection.

A number of hotels sell Ostrich meat. One Ostrich costs Ksh 150,000 to Ksh 300,000.You can also sell Ostrich eggs which cost Ksh 2,000 to Ksh 4,500 each. The eggs are big and more nutritious than eggs from chicken. They are rare to get and only available at the Ostrich farm in Kitengela and few places in Kenya.
