“I run a chemist in Eastleigh which I started with exactly Ksh 2 million. Before starting the business, I had done my homework well. I realized that in Eastleigh there are many stomach related cases. So I took a loan of Ksh 1.2 million from my Sacco and added Ksh 800,000 I had saved in CIC Money Market Fund.
The business took just 1 month to start generating profits. Now I make Ksh 70,000 to Ksh 200,000 per month. The good thing about this business is that I am the one who determines the prices of the products, hence the huge profits”

Mine is boda boda spare parts business which I started in Kisumu in 2021. My initial capital was Ksh 1.8 million. The first few months I was making Ksh 30,000 to Ksh 60,000 monthly but after I started repairing for my customers, the profit increased to a minimum of Ksh 60,000 per month. In a good month I can make Ksh 250,000.
The business is good especially if you sell genuine spare parts.

I operates Electrical and electronics shop in Nairobi where I sell things like bulbs, electronics spare parts, phone spare parts, phone covers, Bluetooth and chargers. The business is located at Luthuli Avenue and it costed me Ksh 2 million to start. These things look like small ones but the profit margin is big. I can buy a charger for Ksh 300 and sell the same for Ksh 1000.
In a bad month I make Ksh 80,000 but my profits mostly range between Ksh 100,000 and Ksh 150k monthly.

I own 10 boda boda in Nairobi operating mainly in Eastlands. I spent Ksh 1800,000 on them. I have employed people to operate them and each of them generates Ksh 500 to Ksh 1000 per day as net profit. In a day, I collect Ksh 5,000 to Ksh 8000 from them after paying my workers and other expenses.
The only challenge is when a motorbike needs a major spare part but when things are good, the profits are high.

The main problem is that I have to install CCTV and hire security guards because thieves like to steal from PlayStation. During peak days especially holidays and weekends,I make average of Ksh 8,000 per day and during these other days, my profit range between Ksh 1,500 and Ksh 4,000.
