Rongai is one of the best estates to live in Nairobi and houses here are cheap. If you are relocating to Rongai, expect to pay the following rent for a bedsitter, one bedroom and two bedroom houses.

Bedsitter=Ksh 7,000 to Ksh 9,000 per month

One bedroom=Ksh 8,000 to Ksh 15,000 per month

Two bedroom=Ksh 14,000 to Ksh 25,000 per month

The price of the houses are dependent on how far they are from the road, services offered, the size and demand for the houses. Generally, you need Ksh 7,500 for a bedsitter, Ksh 12,000 for one bedroom and Ksh 18,000 for two bedrooms.

When paying for a house, you’ll be required to pay a deposit of one month plus rent for that first month, deposit for water, garbage collection and electricity. If the rent is Ksh 12, 000, you’ll pay approximately Ksh28, 000 before you occupy the house.
