Early Life

Millicent Omanga was born in Kisii, Kenya, on May 30, 1982. She went to Mumbi Girls High School and later Medical Training College then she proceeded to enroll for a Journalism course at the University of Nairobi. She also did her Masters’ Degree in Commerce at the University of Nairobi

She is one of the seven girls in her family. Her father, a mechanic for the Postal Corporation of Kenya, died in a car accident when she was 17 years old. Her mother, Joyce, was left to raise her seven daughters. Millicent completed her education at MTC with a sponsors help because her family could not afford her school fees. Millicent is the first born in her family and does not have a brother.

Millicent Omanga is married to a doctor Francis Nyamiobo, who works as a medical practitioner. Omanga has two children, a boy and a girl. She gave birth to Wayne and the Maya on April 24, 2010.  She has been married to her husband for more than ten years now. Their children are grown and a source of Joy to the two celebrity parents.

Business Career

Millicent Omanga started her career in the private sector, working in the bank industry. She then transited to business and started her own company called Milways Enterprise, a specialist company in furniture, construction and interior design importation. The company specialized in events management and branding and is quite successful.

 Omanga’s entrepreneurial skills have been a key factor in her success and have enabled her to venture into politics. She has reliable knowledge in construction, furniture imports, and interior design. She owns and managed more than 15 interior design and import stores.
