Safaricom has partnered with Google to introduce smartphone financing model where you get a smartphone on loan and pay in installments.The daily installments are as low as Ksh 20.You will get a phone on loan worth up to Ksh 27,000.
To qualify for this service, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be using a 2G or 3G smartphone
- You must not be listed on CRB for pending loans
- You must have been a Safaricom customer for 1 year
You will give down payment for the phone you want then pay in installments for 12 months. Once make the down payment, you get to enjoy the full benefits of the phone. Each comes with 1 GB free data at the point of purchase. Upon making 7 days consecutive repayments, you will receive a free 50MB Bundle.

What happens if you don’t pay
Safaricom will lock the device and bar you from making calls/Smses.
Should you default for 30 days, you will be blacklisted and disqualified from other loan facilities and your details will be forwarded to the CRB.
