How to join Tai Sacco

GROUP MEMBERSHIP

This includes; Corporate, Chamaas, Self-help Groups etc. To join the Sacco one needs to;

1. Complete group membership application form. (click here to join)
2. Attach minutes of the group’s meeting resolving to join TAI Sacco.
3. Attach the group’s constitution.
4. Attach copies of Identification Cards, Passport and photos of authorised signatories.
5. Attach copy of group’s registration certificate.
6. KRA PIN Numbers (Where applicable)

NOTE: Upon successful completion of membership registration, 3 mandatory accounts are created; Savings Account, Share Capital and Non withdrawable Savings Account which is also Multiplier Account for loans.

Tai Sacco Loan Requirements

Loan Requirements

To qualify for a loan from the Sacco one should meet the following requirements:

1. Be an active member of the Sacco with regular deposits contributions
2. Must have paid (or is paying) the minimum share capital requirement by the Sacco
3. Must have been a member of the Sacco for at least three months
4. Must have a regular source of income to support loan repayment (salary, business, farming etc.)
5. Must provide security to for the loan applied for such as guarantors, logbooks, title deeds etc.
6. All deductions should not exceed 2/3 of gross salary
7. Three most current pay slips certified by the employer
8. Must have good loan repayment history i.e. no adverse CRB listing.

Both members and non-members can be able to deposit direct to the Sacco using Mpesa Paybill No. 644700

STEPS

1. Go to Mpesa Option in your phone select >Lipa Na Mpesa>Pay bill.
2. Enter Business No. 644700.
3. Enter Account No. (Could be Savings, Group, Loan or Shares account).
4. Enter the amount, your Mpesa PIN No. and complete the transaction.

Note:

1. Group members can deposit to their group account directly.
2. Non-members can deposit to an existing account.
