Embakasi
Rent in Embakasi per month is Ksh 8,000 to Ksh15,000. You will rent a bedsitter for Ksh8,000 or one bedroom for Ksh 13,000. There is enough security in Embakasi and water is available. It’s a perfect place to live with a salary of Ksh50,000.
Embakasi is good for people working in Mlolongo, JKIA,along Mombasa Road and CBD.
Umoja
Another good Estate in Eastlands where you will live with a salary of Ksh50,000. There are bedsitters going for Ksh7,500 to Ksh 8,500 per month. Umoja is ideal for people working in Nairobi CBD or along Jogoo Road.

If you have a family and wants to live in a cheap estate, go to Utawala. One bedroom will cost you Ksh10,000 to Ksh 13,000 per month. Utawala is even better than some of the overrated estates in Nairobi.

Tassia
Tassia is just next to Pipeline/Embakasi. It’s ideal estate for people earning Ksh50,000 to Ksh200,000.
Your monthly budget for rent should between Ksh 7,000 and Ksh15,000. It’s convenient for people working in Nairobi CBD, along Jogoo Road or Mombasa Road.
Westlands
There are specific estates in Westlands where Ksh 50,000 salary can sustain you. Kinoo is one of them. There is also Kangemi and Kikuyu.
