Pipeline is also an estate which does not have good streets, no cabros,no tarmac. You will have to endure mud during rainy season.

All the houses in Pipeline are apartments, meaning that some of them don’t receive enough natural light. If your a room is located in ground floor, you have to put on lights even during the day.

But the good thing about this estate is that life is generally cheap—even foods in streets are not expensive. There is also enough security, very few incidences of insecurity are reported here.

Pipeline is a crowded estate, it hosts over 800,000 Kenyans. This result to poor drainage, congestion and lack of enough water. Unless your house has a borehole, you’ll always buy water.

The estate is ideal for people working along Mombasa Road or in Nairobi CBD.You will spend Ksh 100 to Ksh200 per day on transport.Embassava,KBS and City Hoppa are some of the matatus plying the route. While in town, you board them at Ambassador house.

So,if you want to settle in Pipeline Nairobi, expect to part with Ksh 5,000 to Ksh 9,000 per month.
