We found this comment in a forum interesting. One of the people who invest in Money Market Fund narrates how he is making Ksh 60,000 to Ksh 100,000 monthly from the fund.
“Hata mimi I have invested there. My journey started in 2018 when I got a job with an NGO.I didn’t know about Money Market Fund at the time until one of my workmates showed me an email from the company, he had received an email showing his investment amount and interest earned every month. I was curious to know. It’s at that time he opened the email and showed me income of 3 years, he had accumulated Ksh 2.5 million which was generating for him Ksh 35,000 to Ksh 40,000 monthly. I was impressed.
He told me, to join the fund, I needed Ksh 5,000 only.I was surprised—so little!
That week we went to CIC offices in Nairobi CBD and I was provided with the form to fill. I registered and deposited Ksh 5,000 into my new account. From there,I started saving the little I earned. Whenever I went for field work and earned perdiem,I deposited it in my CIC Money Market Account. I consistently saved Ksh 30,000 to Ksh100k every month from 2018 until today. I have never bothered to withdraw the money—though I am allowed to do so.But I developed financial discipline. When I need money urgently, I borrow from friends instead of withdrawing from CIC Money Market Fund.
At the moment I feel happy because I make Ksh 60,000 to Ksh 100,000 per month. This is even higher than the money I make from the fixed deposit account I operate in one of the local banks. The account pays an interest of 4%-6% per year while CIC pays me interest of 9%-16% per year.
The good thing is that they allow me to deposit as little as Ksh 1000.I deposit through the Paybill Number 600118
Right now I am at peace. There is nothing as good as knowing that you have invested enough money to feed you for years without even having a job.
My target is to invest and start making at least Ksh 100k per month from CIC Money Market”
